Collector's Log: Care of Acrylic Paintings

Acrylic paint was introduced in the 1950's and has been accepted by artists as an alternative to oil paint. Acrylics differ from oil paints and as such, require different guidelines for care. The Museum Conservation Institute provides guidelines for preventative care for your fine artworks painted in acrylic. You can find these guidelines here.
